Since they opened their doors in 2015, Jackie Garrow and her team at Ring Five Impact Docs have led successful community engagement + impact campaigns for over a dozen award-winning Canadian social justice documentaries. Their recent impact portfolio includes the Citizen Minutes Project Series 1 and 2 (Hot Docs);  Black Life: Untold Stories (CBC)  Into the Weeds (Dir. Jennifer Baichwal), Unloved (Dir. Barri Cohen), Subjects of Desire (Dir. Jennifer Holness), Love The Last Chapter (Dir. Dominique Keller), and Food For The Rest of Us (Dir. Caroline Cox). 

Jackie has secured campaign funding from corporations, private foundations and government agencies and has forged strategic campaign partnerships with major national organizations like the Canadian Women's Foundation, Canadian Museum of History, Canadian Race Relations Foundation, Institute for Canadian Citizenship, MiningWatch Canada, Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, Community Food Centres Canada, the National Council of Canadian Muslims, Environmental Defence and Friends of the Earth Canada. She has also led documentary-focused partner initiatives with reputable international brands Nature’s Path, Diva Cup, Deciem: The Ordinary and L’Oreal. The Ring Five team has acquired solid expertise in running premiere screening events, tours and theatrical releases and pride themselves on being able to creatively bring films into educational, community and corporate settings transitioning audiences from passive to active viewers motivated to make change. Before she carved out her dream job as an impact producer, Jackie led the Documentary Organization of Canada, Toronto Chapter for several years and was co-responsible for the launch of the current DOC Institute training initiative and inaugural DOC Awards. Many moons ago, before becoming a mother of two, she was an adventure travel guide and nature photographer and launched and ran a corporate charitable fund for luxury travel company Butterfield & Robinson.
